Despite increasing popularity, and a brand new style, Joshua Fletcher & the Six-Shot Romance is a band who will always remember where they came from. “We were all doing punk rock kind of stuff,� says guitarist Casey Wilson, “…it wasn’t pretty, but its how we learned to be in a band.� Playing in a few different bands around the Atlanta area, Singer/Songwriter Joshua Fletcher and drummer Colin Dean met guitarist Casey Wilson, and bassist James Bowie. The guys became friends from playing music on the same stage together in different bands, and came together as a unit after Fletcher brought a solo Americana album to his friends, asking if they would like to play the backing band at an upcoming live show. It’s a mix of that punk-band past, and their quasi-country band present that gives the band their stage presence, that of a few young punks who have graduated to a more heartfelt, mature kind of music.
